In Full Bloom

via: fashiongonerogue

I've been religiously watching America's Next Top Model for the past few weeks to get my fashion fix. Now with the winner chosen, it's back to looking at fashion editorials. I love this overlay effect in this stunning editorial from Vogue Italia.

Extreme and Experimental Dressing: Viktor and Rolf

Still obsessed over these Spring 2010 Viktor and Rolf dresses. Their ingenuity never ceases to amaze.

Ballerinas in Motion

Black Swan already has everyone talking, thinking or taking a ballet class, and I'm predicting they'll pick up more than their share of Oscars this Sunday, (which I'll be watching and rooting for Natalie).

I always find ballerina photo shoots look a bit contrived, but this one is quite literally floor sweeping.
London based photographer, Jan Masny has captured the motion and grace of the gestures and arabesques of these dynamic balllerinas. It almost makes me want to put on some ballet shoes and.... err.. on second thought, it might just end up very badly.

Have a great weekend!

Pretty Little Underpinnings

via trendsnow.net

I've been busy working on the spring collection and I found these photos while searching for inspiration. This photo shoot has all my favorite elements: the colour blush, pretty lingerie, stacked bangles, statement necklaces and gorgeous clusters of rings.

 Photographs from Jimmy Backius.

Painting with Light

via www.utauta.info

This year, one of my resolutions is to take a photography class. Since I recently inherited a Digital SLR camera, I thought this would be a good chance to take a class and improve my shop photos on Etsy.

A little tidbit I learned yesterday: The word photography means "painting with light" in Greek. How simply beautiful.

I thought these photos from Lucyna DanUta Bakowska were fitting for this post. I love the saturation of colour, the play of light in the foreground and the matching electric makeup. You can see more of her work here.

Impressionistic Vogue Patterns

via trendland.net
My daily dose of fashion inspiration is from Steven Meisel's Vogue Pattern Shoot. Impressionistic photographs mixed with sexy 50's pinup girl vibe and decorative tattoo art, styled by Edward Enninful.

Which one is your favorite?

L’idole Eternelle Fashion Photography

Breje Heinen mirrors the likeness of a statuesque goddess, as she models white gowns by Dior, Versace and D&G in matching bleached out eyebrows. Photographed by Signe Vilstrup for Tush Magazine. Her white eyebrows look amazing but I think I will only be ready for that trend once my own hair turns as white as my eyebrows.

Fashion Photography: Bruno Dayan

These photos from Bruno Dayan are just blowing me away. His photography and skills are just on another level.

He works from France, and has shot fashion editorials for numerous magazines and Ad campaigns for many fashion houses; Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Celine to name just a few. I suggest you take a look at his site because each shot is a work of art on it's merit.

Good Hair, Big Hair

via: Vogue.ru, Numero Korea, Trendhunter, Fashioning

I stumbled upon these stunning hair editorial shots upon perusing the web. Hair can be a statement and is fashion all in itself. I would love to wear my hair this big and frizzy.
