Hye Park Magazine Cover for Korea Harper's Bazaar, November 2008
Hye Park, one of the top Asian models working today, has another cover (with Korean pop singer, Rain) on Korea Harper's Bazaar's November 2008 issue. She has been on so many Korean magazine covers that I have lost count already. Her non-Korean magazine covers include (Italian) Flair and (French) Revue de Modes.
On the ad campaign front, this has been a stellar year for Hye. She booked an international ad campaign for Cesare Paciotti last season and right now, she can be see in two major ones with Max Mara and Tiffany. Her Max Mara ads have been on heavy rotation in every major fashion magazine around the world so she is definitely getting a lot of face time this season.
Although her runway appearances have slowed down recently, she still manages to walk for most of the top designers, including Louis Vuitton and Oscar de la Renta. And Hye Park doesn't come cheap either. Not every designer can afford to pay her to walk on their shows. Her agencies in NY, Paris and Milan have probably hiked her show rates to such exorbitant heights that she could walk on some selected shows only.

Yoon Jin Wook Editorial for Korea Harper's Bazaar, January 2008
I received a couple of requests for more photos of Korean model, Yoon Jin Wook who walked for Lanvin and Bottega Veneta at the Spring/Summer 2009 Menswear show in Milan recently. Since Jin Wook has not signed with a US modeling agency yet, I had very little information to work with.
Then a reader (ChineseModels) directed me to his Korean modeling agency website, DCM Models where there are lots of high quality scans. But most of the information on the site was in Korean, which I don't understand. Anyway, after hours of trial and error, I was able to go through most of the photos and get this editorial (and a couple more to be posted in the next couple of days) for you, my dear readers.

Han Jin, Daul Kim & Hyun Yi Lee Editorial for Korea Harper's Bazaar, August 2008
An interesting editorial from Korea Harper's Bazaar, August 2008. The clothes are fabulous. The hair and makeup are gorgeous. But what's with the sour face? Seriously, the girls looked like they would rather be somewhere else. I mean, Daul Kim and Hyun Yi Lee looked positively miserable and Han Jin just looked bored out of her mind.
What gives? The editorial is called Arty-Fall Romance, not I Don't Want To Be Here. Did the sitting editor or stylist dropped the ball on this one? Or was it intentional? If so, what is the editorial trying to say?
Do you have an opinion on this?

Han Jin Editorial for Korea Harper's Bazaar, February 2008
Why isn't Han Jin getting any offers for major ad campaigns like Du Juan and Hye Park?
